 David SmithDavid a New York City native is a longtime Capital land favorite and musical survivor. Having wore many musical hats throughout his career, guitarist, artist, singer, songwriter, producer, band member and all around musical bonvivant, David comes full circle, leading his own band with their own unique standard of exciting, blues and groove based rock music. As guitarist and songwriter for nationally and internationally known groups Blacksmith and Freaknation. David brings many years of experience to the stage. Touring and promotions throughout the U. S. and abroad, along with a number of CD/Record releases America and Europe over the past decade prove his professionalism and dedication to music. A number of David’s original songs have appeared in several Fox syndicated television shows over the past few years. Mr. Smith’s fiery and imaginative guitar work, along with his powerful and soulful vocals, lay down an exciting framework for his Bad Karma partners. • Email David Smith • Back to top  John DodgeJohn is a longtime favorite to the Capital area music scene, with his powerful, fluid and inventive bass playing, John brings a big solid groove to the band. John is also quite accomplished vocalist, sharing lead vocal duties and adding "on the money" harmonies to the bands overall sound. John has seen much of the world, and some of his touring stints include Texas and into Mexico. John served as a player and pilot for the Capital District band LOKI, and Tazmanian Metal to name a few. John's experience in the technical side of the sonic production and staging, lend itself in the overall quality and "big picture" of the group. John's great attitude, enthusiasm and hard work within the band, pay off large dividends within the Bad Karma partnership. • Email John Dodge • Back to top  TD KingT.D. adds that something extra and special to the sound of Bad Karma, be it guitar, keyboards or vocals. Picking up his first guitar, at a very young age on Christmas Day 1970, T.D. was hooked for life! A long time veteran to the music scene, Mr. King has played with Northeast bands Hedon, Emanon, Murgatroyd and Grendel to name just a few. T.D's influences are wide and varied Dream Theatre, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Santana, King Crimson, The Guess Who, Derek Shernian, Shinedown... the list goes on. Adding a second guitar or a vibrant keyboard to the Bad Karma sound, T.D. King is a welcome addition to the B.K. brotherhood, making a fuller sound and bringing his talent to the mix. Gibson, Fender and Marshall are T.D.'s weapons of choice! • Email TD King • Back to top  Jim AlbertinSolid and powerful, Jimmy Styles sits on the drum throne for the hard rocking Bad Karma sound and groove! Jimmy started playing in 1992. His introduction to the drums was by a complete twist of fate. A visit to a friend’s house revealed a drum kit. Jim was offered the chance to try them out and took it. Immediately he took to the instrument and was playing songs in minutes. After that day, Jimmy's passion for percussion grew. He soon got his own kit and started learning. His influences are vast but include Tommy Lee, Vinnie Paul, Lars Ulrich, all Megadeth drummers and many more. He has played in numerous bands in the Upstate region including, Mike and the Monsters with Bad Karma band mates David Smith and John Dodge, Tribal Soul, Strange Theory, Forgotten, and Requiem Mass. While his background is mostly in the more fast paced metal music, he has played in more subtle rock bands and has played most styles of music. His experiences and ability to play many different types of music has earned him the name "Styles".
